We use the Pivot Point Mindful Teaching curriculum to help you master real-world skills like lesson planning and student coaching. Since we know you’re likely busy in the salon, we offer Oklahoma’s only true flex schedule with starts every Monday. If you have two years of experience, you could even finish in just 300 hours!

We follow the Pivot Point Mindful Teaching curriculum, which is perfectly aligned with what you’ll need for the Oklahoma State Board exam. You’ll move from the “why” of learning to hands-on teaching practice in our classroom and student salon, supported by our experienced team every step of the way.

Great teaching is a craft you can hone. At Jenks Beauty College, we guide you through a rotating curriculum that builds your confidence, taking you from the basics of education to leading your very own classroom.
We start with the heart of teaching: discovering what makes an educator great and understanding how our students actually learn.
Next, we fill your toolkit. You’ll learn how to design lesson plans that stick and how to lead engaging discussions and demonstrations.
Now for the fun part! You’ll head into the classroom and student salon to assist our pros, eventually leading your own supervised sessions.
We’ll cross the finish line together with focused prep for your State Board exam, plus the “business side” of school operations so you’re ready to thrive.
Already a pro? If you have two or more years of experience in the field, you can finish the Master Instructor program in just 300 hours. We believe in honoring the hard work you’ve already put into your career. Let’s get you teaching sooner!

The full program is 600 hours, but many of our students with two+ years of experience qualify for the 300-hour track! Typically, full-time students finish in about 20 weeks, while part-timers take about 26. Your journey depends entirely on your pace and hour requirements.
If you’ve spent two years or more working in cosmetology, spa, or salon settings, you likely qualify for the 300-hour Master Instructor track. Our admissions team would be happy to confirm this for you!
Yes! This program is for pros who are ready to lead. You’ll need a current Oklahoma license in cosmetology, esthetics, or manicuring to get started. Just ask us if you have any questions about your specific license!
Whenever you’re ready! We start new classes every single Monday. If you finish your enrollment by Thursday, you can be in class the very next week.
We’re here to help! Most students start by filling out the FAFSA® (our code is 015428). We also proudly accept VA benefits and work with local Tribes to help make your education affordable.
Once you’ve passed that State Board exam, you’re ready to lead! You can teach in any licensed beauty school or move into roles like curriculum coordinator or school administrator. The sky is the limit!
You’re the boss of your schedule! We’re open all week, so you just drop in when it works for you. As long as you stay for four hours and hit your weekly target, you’re on track. It’s the most flexible way to learn in Oklahoma!
